Rob Flint (aka scopac)
Since about 1997 I’ve made visual performance, often in collaboration with musicians and sonic artists.  More recently I've been working with sound, too, and in installation. I have an ongoing project called Foreign Correspondence.

I'm interested in the way combining image and sound creates something more than the two original elements. It can be a physical and immediate correspondence or clash between the two senses. There's also a different relationship to television and the cinema made possible by using images as an improvising musician works with sound.

I wrote an article for Filmwaves/Artinsight on video and performance, which you can read here (click through four pages) or download here (pdf file)

Obviously I'm not the only person interested in this, and I've put together some links on related topics.
